It requires going against cultural programming in order to embrace a different way of being in the world. Radical self-love requires knowing yourself from within; there needs to be awareness of present conditions and how you got to where you are. You need to be able to see and understand your patterns and learn how to show compassion towards the younger version of yourself that was doing the best they could with the tools and consciousness they had at the time. Cultivating self-love is a deep internal process that will involve awareness, unlearning, and relearning that ultimately leads to inner self-worth. It requires you to slow down, get curious, and listen.
Learning to radically love and accept yourself is a revolutionary act.

revolution from within
Self-love is not ego-based (that’s self-protection). Self-love is “returning home” and is the way of empowerment. Your contribution to the collective means more when it has a solid foundation because you’re serving through love.

There is a huge energetic distinction between self-love and narcissism. Narcissism is born out of deep pain which created an inflated ego. Their coping strategy to cover the initial wound became a toxic personality that is self-centered and needs to feel above other people in order to feel safe and keep its false sense of self. Narcissism is an extreme distortion vs. self-love that is based in self-worth.
Self-love is not arrogance.

This is not a belief of perfection.

It’s a radical acceptance of self (light and shadows + all lived experience) and an honoring of self through conscious living.
It’s also realizing that you are worthy of love simply because you are you.
There isn’t some imagined future where you’ll be healed enough to deserve love (healing is a lifelong journey; you learn to love yourself in your perfect imperfection right now).
Love isn’t withholding, it just is.
The mind will try to convince you that you have to do xyz AND THEN you'll be loveable, but the heart knows the truth.

Self-love is a way of being.
Self-love is whole-hearted living; you live with an open heart but with boundaries. It’s not selfish. When you have a full cup, you have more to give to others. People who love themselves (and have been to the depths of their own pain-this is a requirement) have more compassion for others.
It’s time to honor yourself and reclaim your magic because the world needs more people to come alive and express themselves from their heart!
