A GATHERING TO FEEL EVERYTHING & MOVE THROUGH THE BEST MILLENNIAL MIXTAPE
THE INVITATION
Emotions were never meant
to be managed.
Remember making mixtapes? How you'd burn a CD with every kind of song: pop, alternative, rap, sad ballads, pump-up anthems. One minute you're crying to Dashboard Confessional, the next you're dancing to Missy Elliott.
The playlist held everything you were feeling. And you'd move through it all. That's what emotions are supposed to be like.
You'd cry hard, then laugh five minutes later. You'd rage, then play. You'd feel joy in your whole body: dancing, jumping, spinning. Emotions weren't stuck. They moved like songs on a mixtape, one flowing into the next.
Then you grew up and learned to hold them in. To keep your face neutral when you're hurting. To sit still when you want to move. To manage feelings instead of feeling them.
Tonight, we're pressing play on the soundtrack of our lives.
Where feelings aren't problems to solve, they're music to move to.
We're gathering to feel and express emotions through movement the way we used to: dancing to every song, letting each feeling have its moment, trusting that the playlist will take us where we need to go. Your body plays the mixtape. You let each emotion have its song.

This is for you if...
If your body has been holding something
that needs to move.
You don't have to know what it is yet. Your body already does.
✦ You feel things deeply but don't always know how to express them
✦ You miss moving to music without thinking about how you look
✦ You carry emotions in your body that need to come out
✦ You want permission to feel the full range: sadness, joy, anger, playfulness, everything
✦ You're ready to let your body lead instead of your mind
WHAT THE NIGHT HOLDS
Every emotion gets its song.
Think of it like the mixtape you used to make: built for the full range. Not just the happy songs. Not just the sad ones. All of it, in sequence, the way feelings actually move when you let them.

THE OPENING — CO-CREATING OUR MIXTAPE
We build the playlist together.
Before we move, we ask: what needs to be felt tonight? What emotions are you carrying? Each woman contributes a song that holds something real and we build the evening's soundtrack from that. The playlist becomes a collective map of what's alive in the room.
II. Movement & Dance
We move to different genres: slow, angry, joyful, grief-filled, celebratory. Your body leads. Your mind follows. Singing and breathwork welcome if called for. No choreography. No right way. Just the music and whatever it pulls out of you.
III. Witness Circles
Moments to pause between movements. To be seen in what you're feeling without having to explain it or resolve it. We witness each other's full range without trying to fix anything.
IV. Closing Integration
We land together. A moment to notice what moved. What shifted. What it felt like to let your body do what it already knew how to do. What you take home is yours, but you'll leave feeling more alive for having let it all move through you.
THE SPACE WE HOLD
A room where the full range is welcome.
This gathering only works because everyone agrees to feel: not to perform feeling, not to explain feeling, but to actually let it move. These are the agreements that make that safe.
✦ WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT FEELINGS, WE'RE FEELING THEM
Your body leads. Words are welcome when they arise, not required.
✦ LOUD IS WELCOME. QUIET IS WELCOME. MESSY IS WELCOME.
The full range means all of it; no emotion is too much or too small for this room.
✦ WE WITNESS EACH OTHER WITHOUT FIXING ANYTHING
What someone is feeling is not a problem to solve. We hold it with them.
✦ TRUST THAT YOUR BODY KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS
You've done it before. You just need a room where it's safe again.
✦ THE POP-UP RULE
Feel it, don't explain it. If you catch yourself intellectualizing, you express that emotion through movement (without music) until the group can see what you're feeling.
THE DETAILS
DRESS CODE
Move & Breathe
Comfortable pajamas you can move and breathe in. Sleepover cozy meets embodiment. Your body is going to lead tonight, dress accordingly.
WHAT'S PROVIDED
Everything You Need
Sleeping bag, pizza & popcorn, music & good vibes. Tissues too; we'll have them, though you're welcome to bring your own.
THE CIRCLE
Ten Women Maximum
Always. The level of emotional expression this night holds requires intimacy. Everyone in the room needs to feel safe enough to actually go there.
WHAT TO BRING
✦ Your full self: whatever emotions you're carrying. All of it welcome.
✦ A song that holds a specific emotion for you. We'll build our collaborative playlist from these.
✦ A willingness to let it move through you: that's really all this requires.
✦ Optional: a journal for after. Some things want to be written down once they've moved.
THE INVITATION
Your body already knows
how to feel the full range.
It knows how to cry and then laugh. How to rage and then soften. How to move through the whole mixtape of being human. It did it when you were a girl. That knowing never left, it just hasn't had a room.
This is the sleepover where you finally let yourself feel it all.
Where emotions are a playlist, not a single song stuck on repeat.
P.S. This gathering will be physical and emotional. Wear clothes you can move in. Bring what's on your mixtape. Leave feeling more alive because you let it all move through you.
P.P.S. You don't have to know how to "do this right." Your body already knows. Just show up and let it lead.
